2012 the Earth’s alignment
Winter solstice
To Newtown,CT
I speak to you now from my heart
from the chamber within my heart of hearts,
from that deep, deep place that holds rivers of memories and passage of time.
A place so immense that at times feels unable to be contained,
or expressed with the scripture of words.
Words being teeny, tiny specks in contrast to that love.
The flicker of the flame lights up within this chamber and I can see embossed on the walls all that has come to pass,
all that I hold dear,
in remnants of laughter,
and in teardrops like rain,
images of our ancestral
reaching far back to other times,
other places,
other people
that are carried through to this point in time.
I don’t know why it takes a tragedy to make us
stop
and think
and feel.
A tragedy that rattles our bones and shakes our soul
giving us clarity and gratitude in the wake of broken hearts,
of unthinkable horror.
New eyes emerge.
The walls of the chamber of our hearts create a new energy.
A new image becomes part of us,
their experience is written into us.
When we allow ourselves to feel we are changed.
Soul growth lives within our ability to reflect from the inside out ways that illuminate the path for self and others.
When time is of the essence
let us not sink into despair
but rather,
bring all our forces together for good,
and reign in all the gold,
all the goodness,
all the pieces and lay them on a platter and place it on a table of abundance for all to gather and reap. When we come together at times of celebration we hail to what is most precious in life. What is most precious in life is the sacred gems that are the people with whom we share.
*
As we gather together at this auspicious time we can take time to honor the existence of each and every one of us. And in the beckoning of our collective grandness we ask with an open heart that those that have come before us and those whom are yet to come be still in their own uniqueness and listen to the sweet call of peace, love and joy.
